Your coming down the hill. Your tired of squinting your eyes. Your face is cold. Your eyelashes are stuck together because your eyes won’t stop watering. You give up, and head in for the day.
Lets try and avoid that this year, okay?
The answer is goggles – and we definitely have a pair that would be perfect for you. Now, most people are generally familiar with Oakley, but there’s another goggle company that’s been expanding their lines a lot the last few years and also makes a PHENOMENAL product that we think you should know about. We’re talking about Anon, and here you go:

The Realm (featured above in Apocalypto)
This is generally the widest frame that Anon makes, so if you have a small face please put this frame down and find another one - unless uncomfortable is what your going for. Also, some other notable points about these goggles is that they come in about 13 different colors/patterns, they have an interchangeable strap which can be switched up with any other pairs of Anons you have, and they have a plush fit foam that makes them sit really comfortably on your face.

The Solace (featured above in Work of Art)
This is a relatively new frame Anon put out last year, that they’ve continued to improve on and definitely doesn’t dissappoint. It fits most people quite comfortably, but again – you have to try them on and feel it out for yourself. It comes in about 13 different colors, has the interchangeable strap feature, and the plush foam.

The Hawkeye (featured above in Corked Out)
A brand new frame for Anon that’s already doing quite well. It’s fit is smaller than the Realms, and is being received as quite a good fitting frame in our shop. It’s featured in about 13 different colors, and also includes the plush foam.

The Figment (featured above in Curacao)
This is shaped the same as the Realms, but slightly smaller. It too comes in 13 different colors (most of which covers your basics, and some which feature some really nice graphics), and has Anon’s plush fit foam.

The Majestic (featured above in Tokyo)
These frames are generally most popular for women and kids, as they are the smallest/slimmest frames Anon retails. They too come in 13 different colors, and YES, have the plush fit foam.

The Helix (featured above in White)
A lower priced option that still provides comfort and style. This frame is really lightweight, and fits similar to the Majestic. It also comes in 13 different colors.
Stay tuned for more Goggle updates from other brands soon! We hope this helped.

Alright girls.
For any of you who haven’t yet found your perfect ride, we’ve found it for you. It’s the new 2010 Burton Lipstick.
The winner of Transworld Good Wood, this board will keep you happy no matter where you decide to grace the mountain. Here’s what some of the testers had to say:
“I loved this board. It felt very stable the whole way down – off jumps, fast turns, everything. It even has enough flex to use as a park board. I’d ride this in any terrain.”
“I was fortunate enough to have first tracks on a powder day and I’m so glad it was on this board. This thing is sweet for freeriding plus it has tons of pop, which made it so fun!”
It’s hard to argue with them, people – this board is fantastic. We only have one left in a 149… Tempting, hey. It’s time to (wo)man up!

So we’ve recently been doing a lot of features on snowboards, and here are some ski’s that deserve some recognition. They are the K2 Kung Fu Ski’s, who have been featured in Ski Canada Magazine as the ski that is “best suited for a heavy or strong skier who likes a solid base to do anything from – including the ability to fly.”
Some other comments that have been said about them include:
- An iPod with Metallica playign should be a pre-requisite for this one. Pweful but playful. It floated through soft stuff at hte sides, and was quick and lively in short turns. (Mike Nicholls)
- Big, fun ski that’s best suited for a heavier skier. It skied chop as well as groomers, and was balanced in air. Switch riding was a blast. (Paul Ouelette)
- This ski is solid in the air. It will pound in a landing in crusty snow and leave you feeling like a hero. It’s stable when skiing groomed runs at speed. (D’arcy Sego)
Sounds like K2 is tearing it up this year with these twin tips! We also have plenty of other (equally as amazing) ski’s by them as well for you to check out.

Hey guys – just wanted to put up some information about the Infidel Bindings. I thought it was posted before, but it seems to have disappeared. Go figure! These are expected to hit our shop any day now – we just received confirmation a while ago from Burton that all of our boards/bindings/boots shipped last Monday.
Translation: give us a chance to sort through it and price it for you guys, get over our carpal tunnel syndrome, and then set everything up. Then, check in with us in about a week or two and we’ll be totally ready to set you up with some of the hottest gear we’ve seen in a while.

When artist who designed these bindings was asked about these he said, “my friend Joel and I were talking about problems we were having with our girlfriends and he just kind of said this quote. It’s true about women and their anatomy. It’s also true about other things like snowboarding. … I figured it look cool on a pair of bindings someday.” – Chip, Burton Bindings.
